If you submitted a case without uploading any documents, you may see a PDF labelled "Auto-generated case summary" in your case files. This article explains what it is, why it appears, what it contains, and who can see it.
What it is
When you submit a case without attaching any supporting files of your own, Debitura automatically creates a PDF summary of the case and attaches it for you. You will find it under the Auto-Generated section of the Files & Documents tab on the case detail page. The file is labelled "Auto-generated case summary" and its name follows the pattern Case_Summary_[your case reference].pdf.
Why it appears
Your collection partner usually needs at least one document to attach when they send a demand letter or pursue your claim. When you submit only a written description and no files, Debitura fills that gap by generating a clean, structured summary from the information you provided. Debitura attempts this for every new case, but it only creates the summary when no files were uploaded and at least one written field was completed (your claim description, request, or creditor comments). Because most cases are submitted with documents already attached, you will not see an auto-generated summary on every case.
What it contains
The PDF is built entirely from the details you entered when you created the case. It has three parts:
Your company information - your company name, address, and contact details.
Claim overview - a tidied-up version of your claim description, the claim category, the issue and due dates, the outstanding amount, and the dispute status.
Debtor details - the debtor's name, address, and contact information.
The claim description is rephrased into a short, professional paragraph based on your own words (your claim description, request, and any creditor comments), so it reads well on a demand letter.
Who can see it
The auto-generated summary is visible to you (in the Auto-Generated section of your case files), to your assigned collection partner, and to Debitura staff. It is primarily there as supporting documentation for the partner working your claim. For more on who can see your case files, see Data privacy and document visibility.
Do you need to do anything?
No. The summary is generated automatically and requires no action from you. Because it is system-generated, it cannot be deleted - but if it does not capture your claim well, you can upload your own documents (such as the original invoice, contract, or correspondence) at any time, and your uploaded files always take precedence over the auto-generated summary.
