Contract pack overview
The contract pack contains the legal agreements that govern how partners work with Debitura and its clients. The exact documents depend on your partner type.
Document | Exclusive Partners | Legal Network Partners |
Partnership Agreement | Required (signed externally before platform access) | Not required |
Required before accepting auto-assigned cases | Required before creating new cases, but not enforced for quote-based work | |
Signed per client when a case is assigned | Signed per client when a case is assigned |
📋 Non-Exclusive Partners
Legal Network partners do not sign a Partnership Agreement. You work on custom quote-based pricing and are not required to sign the SDCA before winning quote-based cases. However, you must sign the SDCA before creating or submitting your own cases to the platform.
Partnership Agreement
The Partnership Agreement is signed outside the platform before you gain access. It establishes the commercial relationship between you and Debitura, including:
Exclusive jurisdiction coverage for pre-legal cases
Revenue share percentages
Case acceptance obligations
Confidentiality and indemnification terms
The SDCA and PoA are included as appendices for reference but are not signed at this point.
📋 Non-Exclusive Partners
Legal Network partners do not sign a Partnership Agreement. You operate without exclusivity and keep all fees collected (0% revenue share to Debitura).
Standard Debt Collection Agreement (SDCA)
The SDCA defines the terms for handling pre-legal debt collection cases. It covers pricing tiers, payment handling, exclusivity periods, and obligations for both clients and collectors. For full details, see Standard Debt Collection Agreement (SDCA): key terms.
When you sign:
Exclusive Partners: You are prompted to sign when you first attempt to approve an auto-assigned case from "Pending Verification" status.
Legal Network Partners: You must sign before creating new cases on the platform, but signing is not required for quote-based work you win.
Where to sign or view: Contracts in your Partner Portal settings. See How to sign the SDCA for step-by-step instructions.
Power of Attorney (PoA)
The PoA authorizes you to act on a client's behalf for debt collection in specific jurisdictions. It is signed per client when a case is first assigned. Once signed, it remains valid for all subsequent cases from that client.
The PoA authorizes you to:
Communicate with the debtor
Negotiate payment terms
Initiate legal proceedings if necessary
Receive payments into your trust account with discharging effect
For more details, see Power of Attorney (PoA): what it is, what it authorizes, and when it's signed.
What you receive per case
When a case is assigned to you, you receive:
Item | Description |
Case data | Claim details, debtor information, and supporting documents uploaded by the client |
Signed PoA | Client authorization to act on their behalf for this jurisdiction |
Signed Standard Debt Collection Agreement | The signed version of the SDCA by the client |
Collection period | Six-month exclusive period to work the case (extensions apply if debtor promises to pay or makes payments) |
Revenue and fee retention
After successful recovery, you retain your fees before disbursing to the client:
Fee type | Who keeps it |
Success fee | You retain (calculated per SDCA pricing tiers) |
Interest and late payment fees | You retain entirely as additional compensation |
Principal amount | Disbursed to client within 30 business days after deducting fees |
For Exclusive Partners, Debitura invoices you for its revenue share (40% of your success fee for pre-legal cases, 20% for legal cases) after you receive payment. See Commission models and revenue share for details.
📋 Non-Exclusive Partners
Legal Network partners pay 0% revenue share to Debitura. You keep all fees collected from quote-based work.
