The Payments page shows every payment recorded on your cases in one list, including partial payments and installments on cases that are still open.
Where to find it
Open Payments in the left menu. It sits between Cases and Partners.
Every user on your account can open it. If your user is limited to certain divisions, you only see payments on cases in those divisions. See Clients: How to use divisions (business units).
Only payments linked to a case are listed.
The Payments tab
Each row is one payment, newest first. You can also sort by Gross amount.
Column | What it shows |
Payment date | The date the payment was recorded against the case. |
Case | The case reference, linking to the case. |
Gross amount | The full payment, in the payment's own currency. |
Client Share | Your part of the payment. Shows "-" when the payment has no payout yet. |
Collection fee status | Whether the collection fee for this payment has been settled (see below). |
More | See more opens the payment's details. |
You can also show Division, Debtor name, Collector Share, Registered date (when the payment was entered in Debitura), Recipient (who received the money: you, Debitura or the collection partner) and Case status.
Filter and export
Filter lets you add conditions: division (or "No division"), a payment date range, a minimum and maximum amount, one currency, and collection fee status (Unpaid or Paid). The button shows how many payments match out of the total, for example "Filter (12 / 340)".
Amounts are never converted between currencies. The minimum and maximum compare the plain numbers, so "100" matches 100 in any currency. Choose a currency first if you want a meaningful amount range.
Export downloads payments.csv with your current filters and sorting. It includes every matching payment, not only the page on screen.
Payment details
See more opens two tabs:
Details: the case, payment date, registered date, gross amount, recipient, and how this payment was distributed (Client Share, Collector Share, Owed to partner, Collection fee status).
Activity: when the payment was recorded, changed (with the old and new values) or deleted. What happened to the case itself is on the case's own timeline.
What the money terms mean
Client Share: your share of the amount actually collected, after the collection fee has been deducted.
Collector Share: the collection fee retained by the partner, calculated as a percentage of the amount actually collected.
Owed to partner (in the payment details): the collection fee still owed to the partner for this payment. It is zero once the collection fee status is Paid or Credited.
How a partial payment is split is explained in Clients: How a partial payment is split between you and your collection partner.
Collection fee status
Status | Meaning |
Paid | Nothing is owed to the partner for this payment. This is set straight away when the debtor paid the collection partner, because the partner already holds the money. |
Unpaid | The debtor paid you directly, so the partner's fee is still owed. The partner invoices you for it and marks it Paid once you have settled it. |
Credited | The collection fee was written off instead of collected. |
No fee | The partner's share of this payment is zero, so there is nothing to pay. |
What you must do after a direct payment, and the payment terms for the partner's invoice, are in Clients: How to report a direct payment from the debtor and Invoicing after recovery: disbursement timing, direct payments, and late fees.
What this page does not show
Which part of the debt a payment covered (principal, interest or fees).
Whether the partner has transferred your share to your bank account. A Client Share means the split was calculated and recorded, not that the money has reached you.
A way to attach documents or ask a question about a payment. Use the case chat: see Clients: How to contact your collection partner (chat and notifications).
