You can choose how amounts are written in Debitura: which character separates the thousands and which one marks the decimals. The setting is personal and only changes how amounts look, never the amounts themselves.
Change your number format
Go to your Profile page.
Find the Regional preferences card.
Click Change.
Choose an option in the Number format list.
The steps are the same for Exclusive and Non-Exclusive partners. The number format belongs to your user, not to your partner agreement.
The options
Each option is shown with how 1,234,567.89 looks in it.
Number format | Example |
Automatic (browser setting) | Follows your browser. This is the default. |
en-US | 1,234,567.89 |
de-DE | 1.234.567,89 |
fr-FR | 1 234 567,89 |
de-CH | 1’234’567.89 |
en-IN | 12,34,567.89 |
Automatic uses your browser's format when Debitura can read it back reliably. If it cannot, for example because your browser uses other digits than 0 to 9, Debitura uses the en-US format (1,234,567.89) instead.
What changes
Only the punctuation. The amount, its currency code and the two decimals stay the same.
It follows you. The setting is saved on your own user, so it applies on every device, in both the partner portal and the client portal, and when you switch between companies.
Amounts you type are read the same way. With de-DE, 1.500 means one thousand five hundred. With en-US, 1.5 means one and a half. An amount that cannot be read, such as 1,,5 or 1,5.5, is refused with an error instead of being guessed, so check your number format before you type amounts.
Some older screens do not change yet. A few pages still show amounts in a fixed format, such as 1,234.56, whatever you choose.
