The Collection Report shows how the cases you collect are doing: how many have paid, how much has been collected, and how results differ by country and client.
Goal
See the results of the cases you collect for a period you pick, and export the figures.
Open and read the Collection Report
In the partner portal, open Partner Score in the left menu and select Collection Report.
At the top, Your collection score shows your collection score, its confidence and your average days to first payment. It is based on all your closed cases, with recent ones weighted more, and is not limited to the report period. Select How your collection score works for the details, or see Performance scoring and quality expectations.
Pick the period in the tab row. Last 12 months is the default; you can choose another period, such as Last quarter or This year, or set a Custom range. The line under the title tells you how many cases started collection in that period.
To narrow the report, select Filter and add a condition: Country, Client, Region or Debtor type.
Review the Overview tab: Cases with a payment, Fully paid and Amount collected at the top, then Case outcomes, Closed cases with the collection rate and closing reasons, Collection by start month and Debt age at collection start.
Use the other tabs: Cases lists each case with its outcome, collection start date, principal and amount collected, in the case's own currency. Countries (by debtor country) and Clients show the same figures per group; select a country or a client to open its own report. Payments shows the payments received in the period.
To keep a copy, use the export button of the table you are looking at, for example Export cases CSV or Export cohort CSV.
Result
You can see which of your cases are paying, how much has been collected, and where results are stronger or weaker by country and client.
Understanding the figures
Which cases count: the report covers the cases you collect that started collection in the period you pick. Their results include payments received later, up to the moment you open the report.
Amount collected (Overview) is everything recorded as paid on these cases since their collection started. It can include interest and fees, and it is converted to USD. It is not your share and not an amount paid out to anyone.
Payments received (Payments tab) is the payments recorded in the period you pick, whatever date their case started. It therefore differs from Amount collected: one follows the cases, the other follows the payment dates. Collection partner share is your part of these payments, and the table lists each payment with your share of it.
Cases with a payment counts the cases on which the debtor has paid something since collection started, including cases that are still open. Fully paid is a case closed because the debt was paid in full. Partially paid is a case closed after the debtor paid part of the debt. Closed for other reasons covers every other closing reason.
Collection rate (Closed cases) is calculated on closed cases only: (amount recovered / principal amount) x 100%, capped at 100% per case. Only the principal debt amount counts - interest and fees are excluded.
Collection score and collection rate are different figures. The collection rate covers the closed cases in the period you pick. Your collection score uses all your closed cases, with recent ones weighted more, and counts towards your Partner Score - see Performance scoring and quality expectations.
Collection by start month groups the cases by the month in which collection started. Each column shows the share of that month's cases with a payment, or fully paid, counted to the end of each later month. The current month is still in progress, so its figures are marked as "so far".
Exchange rates: amounts are converted to USD so different currencies add up. The Cases tab shows each case in its own currency, and the Payments tab shows totals in USD with each payment in its own currency.
Reopened cases: a reopened case keeps its original collection start month, so it stays in the same row of Collection by start month. It counts as Open until it closes again, and it is left out of the collection rate until then. Payments already recorded on it still count towards Amount collected and Cases with a payment. If it was Fully paid, it no longer counts as Fully paid in Collection by start month; if it is closed as paid again, it counts from its new closing date.
Later corrections to payments: the report shows current results, not a snapshot of what was known at the end of the period. If a payment is corrected or deleted, or its date is changed (see How to report a recovered payment), figures for an earlier period can change the next time you open the report, including Collection by start month. On the Payments tab, a changed payment date can move the payment to another period. A CSV file you exported earlier stays as it was when you exported it.
Small groups: a country or client with only a few cases can change a lot on a single payment, so compare small groups with care.
The closing reasons are the close codes, which indicate why each case was closed.
